Plan Your Spring or Summer Visit to Cape Cod Now.

It may be cold outdoors but, believe it or not, I just saw the first crocuses pushing their little heads up through the cold earth yesterday. Mother Nature's signal that spring is on the way, their little purple and yellow faces were a sight for sore eyes. Give yourself a little boost and plan your visit to Cape Cod this year.

One of the harbingers of spring here in Sandwch is the opening of Heritage Museums and Gardens. April 15th is the big day and we cannot wait. Each year, there is a special exhibit in one of their museums and 2017 features Painted Landscapes: Contemporary Views. It will feature 49 of the country's best contemporary painters. Among this group of talented individuals are established and emerging artists who will be presenting their view of the American landscape in both representational and abstract styles. This is an exhibit that we are really looking forward to.

Also featured throughout the gardens will be their outdoor exhibit which this year is entitled Points of View and features artists who will use an array of
materials designed to enhance the viewers' appreciation of the gardens. We always find this exhibit interesting, exciting, and thought provoking. And, of course, there will be the auto museum to visit and the carousel to ride while you are there.

The Sandwich Glass Museum is open with permanent exhibits and features special exhibits throughout the year. There are glassblowing exhibitions every hour. A visit here never disappoints and they have a wonderful gift shop where you can find a special gift for yourself or to take home to a friend.

Just up Route 6A is the Green Brier Nature Center, Jam Kitchen, and Game Farm. The Nature Center offers educational opportunities and events throughout the year. You can also register for one of their Jam Making Workshops and visit their wildflower garden. Check their website for workshop dates and what is blooming in their gardens.

It may not be warm enough to get a tan on the beach as yet but there is so much to do in Sandwich during the spring and early summer. Just because it is not "beach weather" you will still find lots to do, great shops and restaurants to visit.

If we can answer any questions or help in any way in planning your trip, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 508-888-6958.

As alway, we would be delighted to have you stay with us.....Wishing you the blessings of the season........Jan & Charlie
